OTTAWA, ONTARIO, May 1, 2012 –– March Networks®, a global provider of intelligent IP video solutions, today announced that one of Qatar’s largest financial institutions has standardized on the company’s integrated video surveillance and Searchlight software applications to significantly reduce losses from fraud and other crime. The financial institution will use the solution to proactively detect fraudulent activity, including ATM skimming and cash harvesting, at its ATMs and banking branches nationwide. The solution also enables the bank to exceed government-mandated requirements recently introduced to strengthen video surveillance standards in the Qatari banking sector.

Working with a March Networks certified provider in the region, the bank is deploying powerful March Networks Searchlight™ applications, Enterprise Service Manager software, high-definition MegaPX NanoDome IP cameras and 4324 C hybrid network video recorders (NVRs).

The solution provides the bank with efficient, centralized video management, and exceptional reliability already proven in more than 450 March Networks banking installations worldwide. Combined with integrated Searchlight applications, it triples the bank’s investigation capabilities, resulting in a quantifiable return on investment.

The Searchlight Financial Transaction Investigation application correlates video and ATM/teller transaction data to speed investigations and streamline case management. Searchlight Skimming Detection automatically alerts staff to suspicious activity at ATMs, and enables fraud investigators to quickly review and gather critical case evidence using associated video, transaction data, color analysis and facial images. A third Searchlight application, which captures and synchronizes license plate data, is also available to further strengthen investigations.

“Our Searchlight software applications help banks sift quickly through vast amounts of video and transaction data to find the exact information they need to combat fraud and cut losses dramatically,” said Net Payne, Chief Marketing Officer, March Networks. “Searchlight saves banks both time and cost and, when combined with our highly reliable and centrally managed video surveillance platforms, delivers an advanced financial surveillance solution unparalleled in the industry.”

OTTAWA, ONTARIO, March 27, 2012 –– March Networks® (TSX: MN), a global provider of intelligent IP video solutions and the #1 supplier of banking video surveillance systems in the Americas, is pleased to announce enhancements to its Searchlight applications portfolio to help banks and credit unions further reduce losses from ATM fraud, cash harvesting and other crime. The latest Searchlight features include a new color detection analytic, improved facial detection, and a new snapshot timeline that combine to triple an investigator’s search capabilities – allowing them to conduct fraud investigations even faster and build better case evidence.

The March Networks Searchlight™ portfolio consists of Financial Transaction Investigation software, which synchronizes ATM and teller transaction records with high-quality surveillance video to improve investigator performance and streamline case management. It also includes powerful Skimming Detection, Image Tracker and License Plate Tracker applications that enable banks to proactively detect fraudulent activity at ATMs and gather stronger case evidence through centralized searches that correlate video, transaction information, facial images and license plate data.

A new color detection analytic introduces yet another layer of evidence filtering to aid and speed searches across any number of banking locations simultaneously. Investigators can search ATM lobby footage for a suspect wearing a red shirt, for example, or combine that search parameter with specific banking card numbers or ATM transaction amounts to zero in on evidence even more quickly. Searchlight’s enhanced facial detection analytic automatically captures the best instance of a customer’s face during a transaction, providing more reliable identification for investigations and law enforcement. And a new visual timeline, which offers investigators a scrolling line-up of corresponding images for any selected timeframe, helps investigators swiftly narrow searches.

“Fraudulent transactions at ATMs and teller stations costs banks an estimated $1 billion annually and many feel that number may actually be much higher,” said Net Payne, Chief Marketing Officer, March Networks. “Our Searchlight applications enable financial institutions to cut those losses dramatically, reduce the time and costs associated with each investigation, and realize a measurable return on their investment.”

March Networks’ comprehensive Financial Solutions include the Searchlight portfolio, as well as enterprise-class hybrid recording systems, high-definition IP cameras and Visual Intelligence video management software. Its solutions are proven in more than 450 banks and credit unions worldwide, including six of the top 10 U.S. banks, five of the seven largest banks in Mexico, the majority of Canada’s top five financial institutions, and leading banks across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.

The company will demonstrate its complete Financial Solutions in Booth 24075 at the ISC West International Security Conference and Exposition, March 28 to 30, at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. For more information, please visit www.marchnetworks.com/iscwest.

OTTAWA, ONTARIO, March 27, 2012 –– March Networks® (TSX: MN), a global provider of intelligent IP video solutions, is pleased to introduce Command Lite – a free, entry-level version of its enterprise-class Command video management system (VMS). The software supports up to six video channels and seven days of storage, making it an ideal surveillance solution for businesses with limited camera and retention requirements, as well as organizations ready to evaluate an IP VMS solution in real-world environments. Command Lite installs in minutes, is easy to use, and incorporates the latest time-saving capabilities available with release 1.3 of the Command platform.

As with all March Networks Command™ software, Command Lite is compatible with more than 300 certified third-party cameras, hundreds of ONVIF-compliant edge devices and March Networks IP cameras, allowing it to be quickly deployed using existing surveillance infrastructure. A one-click device discovery tool identifies and adds all locally networked cameras to speed setup.

In addition, there are no client applications to download. The Command web-based user interface supports all system configuration, management and daily operations. It works with both Microsoft® Windows and Mac OS® X operating systems and can be accessed with all leading web browsers, including Internet Explorer®, Firefox®, Chrome™, and Safari®, to ensure a rapid and straightforward installation. The flexible interface is easily tailored to display or hide different functions for specific user groups, which increases user efficiency and reducing training times for enterprise-class deployments.

Command Lite also provides new features introduced in Command 1.3 to help organizations save time operating and administering the VMS. Archive thumbnails and a Visual Finder timeline allow users to search through recorded video quickly without a specific date or time, and refine searches easily with just a few mouse clicks. The software’s innovative health inbox helps administrators ensure the system is always performing optimally, while its Device Page offers detailed information on the data being received, recorded and streamed to clients on a camera-by-camera basis.

“We are pleased to offer many of the core capabilities of our Command video management platform in this convenient and freely downloadable solution,” said Net Payne, Chief Marketing Officer, March Networks. “Command Lite gives organizations and systems integrators the opportunity to discover the flexibility and ease-of-use of our VMS for themselves, and makes it easy for them to scale to a full-featured Command offering when they are ready.”

Upgrades from Command Lite to Command Professional or Enterprise are seamless. No reconfiguration is needed and all previously archived video is maintained.

Organizations, systems integrators and resellers can download Command Lite for free, along with supporting video tutorials and resources, from the March Networks website at www.marchnetworks.com/GetCommandLite.

March Networks will also demonstrate Command Lite and the Command 1.3 software platform in Booth 24075 at the ISC West International Security Conference and Exposition, March 28 to 30, at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. For more information, please visit www.marchnetworks.com/iscwest.

OTTAWA, ONTARIO, March 20, 2012 –– March Networks® (TSX:MN), a global provider of intelligent IP video solutions, today announced that, at a special meeting of shareholders held earlier today (the “Meeting”), the shareholders of March Networks Corporation (“March Networks”) voted to approve the previously announced arrangement under the Canada Business Corporations Act (the “Arrangement”) pursuant to which Infinova (Canada) Ltd. (“Infinova Canada”), an indirect wholly-owned Canadian subsidiary of Shenzhen Infinova Ltd. (“Shenzhen Infinova”), will acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of March Networks for C$5.00 per share in cash.

Shareholders holding approximately 62.70% of the outstanding common shares of March Networks were represented in person or by proxy at the Meeting. Approximately 98.15% of the common shares voted at the Meeting were voted in favour of the special resolution approving the Arrangement. This vote included a majority of the votes cast excluding the votes that were required to be excluded under applicable Canadian securities laws. In addition, approximately 98.15% of the common shares voted at the Meeting were voted in favour of the special resolution approving a $24,765,000 reduction in the stated capital account for the common shares. These approvals satisfy the condition precedent in the arrangement agreement made as of December 8, 2011 among March Networks, Infinova Canada and Shenzhen Infinova (the “Arrangement Agreement”) that the Arrangement be approved by shareholders of March Networks.

A final order approving the Arrangement will be sought from the Ontario Superior Court of Justice at a hearing scheduled to be held on Friday, March 23, 2012 in Toronto. Assuming this final order is obtained and all remaining conditions under the Arrangement Agreement are satisfied or waived (where permitted), the Arrangement is expected to become effective in late March or in April, 2012. The common shares will be de-listed from the Toronto Stock Exchange following completion of the Arrangement.

OTTAWA, ONTARIO, March 6, 2012 –– March Networks® (TSX: MN), a global provider of intelligent IP video solutions, today announced that Christchurch International Airport Ltd. in New Zealand has standardized on the company’s IP video surveillance solution to support safety and security requirements across its operations. The March Networks Command™ video management software and high-definition IP cameras have provided such a high return in operational efficiencies that the solution is now a critical component of the airport’s overall business.

Christchurch Airport’s surveillance commitment has increased considerably in recent years because of the worldwide focus on transport security. The airport has expanded its coverage from a few dozen to hundreds of cameras, including more than 200 March Networks’ MegaPX 1080p, CamPX MiniDome and PTZ IP cameras, to gain greater visibility of its terminal, airfield and automated baggage system. It is also using the solution for operational purposes, such as managing gate allocations for incoming flights, directing taxis to where they are most needed, and responding remotely to inquiries from unattended carpark gates.

“We have grown to rely on the March Networks solution equally for security and operations, and we’re very pleased with its performance,” said Tim Morris, Operations Manager, Christchurch International Airport Ltd. “The system is user-friendly and has massive scale and reliability, which keeps us prepared at all times – even during last year’s February earthquake, when we served as an emergency transportation hub for rescue teams and medical evacuation flights.”

The March Networks system withstood a violent, 6.3 magnitude earthquake that shook the city of Christchurch on February 22, 2011. The city has recorded more than 10,000 aftershocks since that time, but the system has never gone down or lost video.

Christchurch Airport’s security and IT teams engaged in a rigorous evaluation process before selecting the Command solution, working with certified March Networks provider ECL Security. As a next step, the airport is planning a complete integration with its access control system. It is also assessing the use of video analytics available in the March Networks portfolio, such as loitering or left baggage detection.

“The market for airport security solutions is expected to exceed $1.5 billion by 2015, with video surveillance representing the fastest growing segment,” said Net Payne, Chief Marketing Officer, March Networks. “Our solutions provide airport authorities with enterprise-class solutions that are scalable, highly reliable and easily managed. In addition, they support a wide range of operational applications that help airports work smarter and faster, and realize better returns on their investment.”

Forward-Looking Statements
This release contains certain forward-looking information, including expectations of future business. This information is based on the Company’s current expectations and assumptions that are subject to a variety of risks and uncertainties that are difficult to predict and that may be beyond March Networks’ control. Actual results could differ materially from those expressed in any forward-looking statements due to factors such as customer demand and timing of purchasing decisions, increased levels of competition, technological changes and the successful development of new products, dependence on third-party manufacturers, risks relating to intellectual property infringement claims, and other risks and factors identified in March Networks’ public filings with regulatory authorities in Canada. March Networks assumes no obligation to update these forward-looking statements as a result of new information or future events.

OTTAWA, ONTARIO, February 21, 2012 –– March Networks® (TSX: MN), a global provider of intelligent IP video solutions, today announced more than $2.5 million in orders from a top ten global financial institution for new video recording systems. The financial institution is deploying the hybrid network video recorders (NVRs) to outfit new retail banking branches, as well as existing branches as part of a planned upgrade program. In addition, it plans to use the company’s integrated Searchlight software applications in a number of locations to more aggressively reduce losses from ATM skimming, cash harvesting and other banking crime.

These latest orders will bring the bank’s total March Networks video surveillance installation to approximately 8,000 locations once the rollout is complete in August 2012. The customer continues to standardize on the financial solution because of its centralized video management capability, which enables authorized staff to access video and conduct investigations remotely at a much faster pace. The solution also provides the demonstrated reliability, scalability, and advanced health monitoring and maintenance needed to ensure optimum system performance across the extensive surveillance network.

“Our financial solutions help banks maintain a competitive advantage by enhancing customer asset protection and increasing operational efficiency,” said Peter Strom, President and CEO, March Networks. “We are pleased to announce new business with one of the world’s largest financial institutions and look forward to showcasing the significant fraud fighting capabilities of our Searchlight portfolio.”

March Networks Searchlight™ applications provide financial institutions with critical business intelligence that makes it faster and easier to detect and reduce losses from fraud and other crimes. The portfolio includes Financial Transaction Investigation software, which synchronizes ATM and teller transaction records with high-quality video to streamline case management and investigator performance. It also includes powerful Skimming Detection, Image Tracker and License Plate Tracker applications that enable banks to proactively detect fraudulent activity at ATMs and gather strong case evidence through centralized searches that correlate video, transaction information, facial images and license plate data.

More than 450 banks and credit unions worldwide currently use March Networks’ financial solutions to improve security, fraud investigation and operations. The company is also ranked the #1 provider of banking video surveillance systems in the Americas by IMS Research.

OTTAWA, ONTARIO, February 7, 2012 –– March Networks® (TSX: MN), a global provider of intelligent IP video solutions, today announced that Escambia County School District – which oversees 60 schools serving more than 40,000 students in Pensacola, Florida – has standardized on the company’s video surveillance system to enhance school safety. Equipped with March Networks Command™ video management software and 4000 C Series hybrid NVRs, the school district now has an easy-to-use, IP-based surveillance solution that allows it to resolve incidents quickly and better respond to potential threats.

“At the moment, we have a mixture of March Networks hybrid recorders in some schools and the server-based Command software in others,” said Brian Johnson, a network systems analyst with the school district. “The solution is ideal, because it allows us to continue using analog cameras where they are already installed, and eventually transition all of our schools to IP surveillance as our budget permits.”

The fact that the Command software is compatible with both Windows and Macintosh operating systems was another key consideration for the school district, as most of its administrators use Macintosh computers. In addition, Command’s web-based client interface eliminates the need to install and maintain new software on each individual system, saving the school district both time and resources. The web-based software also makes it easier for Escambia to open the surveillance system to law enforcement and other first responders if needed – providing them with a real-time view into a school in an emergency situation.

“Security is a top priority for school communities worldwide, with video surveillance playing an increasingly important role,” said Net Payne, Chief Marketing Officer, March Networks. “Our solutions offer the ease-of-use and management capabilities needed to efficiently oversee large school districts and campus environments, as well as the proven reliability educators, students and their families demand.”

OTTAWA, ONTARIO, January 31, 2012 –– March Networks® (TSX: MN), a global provider of intelligent IP video solutions, today announced that Woolworths Limited – an Australian company with extensive retail interests throughout Australia and New Zealand – is deploying new Visual Intelligence software across thousands of existing March Networks video recording systems in a phased upgrade program. The software delivers enhanced live monitoring and searching capabilities that make it even easier for the retailer to centrally manage surveillance video used for security and loss prevention in more than 1,300 remote locations.

“We selected March Networks after evaluating multiple competitive units in our IT labs, and continue to expand with the solution,” said Darin Crofts, Woolworths’ Loss Prevention Manager responsible for special projects. “The software and systems are very easy to use and extremely reliable. They provide the high-quality video evidence and case management tools we need to identify and act on suspicious behavior quickly. As a result, we have seen clear returns through reduced shrinkage and fewer liability claims.”

The solution’s remote video access capability is essential for Woolworths’ Loss Prevention and Health, Safety and Environment staff, who would otherwise have to drive as many as 12 hours one way to pull video evidence manually from a store location. In addition, the software incorporates advanced video compression technology and bandwidth limiting features that make it possible to access video over the network without impacting core business operations – even from rural store locations with a maximum bandwidth capacity of just 64 kb/s.

“We are proud to continue our partnership with Woolworths,” said Net Payne, Chief Marketing Officer, March Networks, “and remain focused on evolving our retail solutions to help customers save time, improve operations and extract valuable business intelligence from the video surveillance network they are already using to protect their customers and assets. Our solutions provide retailers with the tools they need to significantly reduce losses from theft and fraud, while delivering the reliability and ease-of-use that sets them apart in the industry.”

The complete March Networks retail solution also includes Retail Transaction Investigation (RTI) software to support advanced loss prevention efforts. The RTI software combines critical visual evidence with transaction data from point-of-sale systems, enabling investigators to swiftly identify and review suspicious transactions, strengthen case evidence and improve recoveries.
